2010 IDRIVE SAT NAV

Hi guys, do you know how to bring up the map on the sat nav so that it shows the buildings alongside the roads. A friend managed to show me but i was driving at the time so couldn't pay too much attention. I thought you bring up the main map on the left of the split screen, put it in 3D mode and zoom in to 25 yards perspective but it doesn't seem to work now. Any ideas?

Not sure - I have the same system, and I think you have done everything you're supposed to. If my understanding is correct, there are very few 3D buildings integrated into the system (300 for the UK rings a bell), so unless you are close to a fairly significant landmark, you may not see anything.

Hmm. That could be right. I was right in the centre of London when i saw the buildings but nothing appears at all in the suburbs unless we've missed something. Cheers anyway Gary...
