It seems I have a leak in the bottle, having filled it up but still having the warning light on - left a coupel of days - and bugger all in there!

Wheres best for getting a new/2nd one online - dont want to be trawling through breakers

Cheers

Mine was leaking out of one of the washer jets on the bonnet...a small ball bearing looked like it had come out of the bottom.

Also believe the pump can leak.

Hi

Thanks for the replies - I do have headlight washers - will have a look at the weekend.

Daft question probably but how do you get access to check where the leak is - do I have to remove the washer bottle or access from underneath?

Assuming its the 330cd cracked washer bottles are a common fault, as well as the o rings in the washer jet. Fill it up, and if you see water appearing by the bottom of the drivers door at the front, its a cracked bottle, as its up under the drivers wing. Wheelarch liner out to remove.

Hi

Thanks for reply - it is the 330cd but its a 54 plate (e46) - the washer bottle is at the drivers side front of the engine bay - easy to remove that. I was more thinking if it was something other than a cracked bottle - such as the headlamp washers......how easy is it to gain access to them.

fingers crossed its just the bottle - easy out and replace
