e36 fibreglass bonnet wanted!?
Discussion
Have been on the look out myself. Haven't seen any bargains in the last 3-4 months.
I assume you've set these guys as your price benchmark? They seem to be the most competitive at full retail.

Hi there
£157 for a bonnet.. I don't think you're going to find it any significantly cheaper than that unless it's really rubbish. I was going to suggest
http://www.schmiedmann.co.uk/3_series/E36/Equipmen...
But it'll work out probably more than double once shipping is added etc.
The ABS motorsport one, the mention of the silver and luminous green highlights M3, I know the owner! and only today do I know it was a GRP bonnet and other bits!
Cheers, Dennis!

The cheap ones are cheap for a reason - the fit tends to be rubbish, meaning what you save in up-front cost is then spent in time making it actually fit on the car.
The ABS ones are spot-on.
I know the ex-owner of the silver/green one on the site too, and I know how pleased he was with the bits from ABS.

On the topic of plastic bonnets, they are always marketed as for track use only. What's the issue with road use? Higher risk of them coming open whilst moving or ...?
Security usually. Unless you use locking Aeroquip catches, there's no way to secure them against being opened by anyone.M-J-B said:
