Ok so I just couldnt live with 12mpg so ive sold the RR Sport SC and ive put a £100 refundable deposit down on a 2007/57 325D Coupe.

As far as I could see nothing comes close to offering a mix of just over 7 secs to 60 and almost 50mpg combined cycle (Obviously not at the same time) smile

The car is here:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2010...

The car isnt a great colour but has only clocked 39000 miles with full leather and seems very good value at just over £14K ?

Ive yet to go and view the car over the next day or so but just wanted to ask the combined knowledge of the pistonheads community whether Im making any school boy errors or if there is anything I need to be aware of when viewing ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I can't comment directly on that actual car but I have just purchased the new 525d Currently getting 46mpg!!!!! and thats giving it some poke!

However a relative has a 57 plate 325d coupe and they love it.. 50mpg, fast and great looking! If it were not for 2 kids under 6 that would be my choice

Better still how about a 335d coupe? awesome performance with average 32MPG?

Must admit ive been giving the 325d a more thorough review. Looking to get rid of my E90 320d at the end of next year, the 325d does seem like a good upgrade, though dont seem as pricey as the 330d for a couple of year old M Sport.

I have a 2010 spec 325d msport coupe as a works car. Its a nice machine. I press on and am getting 45.5 mpg and the car is still not properly run in yet. I have not driven a 330d/335d so cannot comment on how it compares to them, but all I can say is that poke is ample, and I cannot think of many occasions when I have felt short of power.

Does not sound as nice as a petrol six, but it is very smooth nevertheless.

On my commute to work of 20 miles of a-road and some town either end i'm getting 42mpg over a tank in my 335d coupe.

All my tanks have been over 40mpg.

Thrashing it it drops to high 20's but with a mix settles around 36-38mpg. Normally get 550-600 miles per tank.

So your 325d couple should definitely give you high 40's with plenty of shove.
