Hi, I have an E36 328i track car and have recently bought different (17") wheels for it. I have put them on and clearly the tyres are way too big for the arches (the rears are 255 40 17 and the fronts are 235 45 17). I'm now thinking these may have originally come from a 5 series. Does anyone know if I put 225 wide tyres on if they will fit in the arches, or is there something I can do to make the fit, or should I just sell them and get some more specifically for the E36? Cheers

You'll need to take into account the offset, not just the tyre width. I seem to remember the offset for e36s is quite different from e34s and e39s.

I think you are right Gruber and those look like E39 wheels.

Thanks for replying. When you look at this photo, I think I might have an off set issue. Do you agree? Cheers

Looks like the offset is wrong to me.

If you want rid of the tyres, pm me
