I have a 1 series and love the RWD in the wet. It can be a pain in the snow but in general, the lack of decent traction just means more sideways action for me.

Have you all seen this great video?

Nice drifting, where did you learn to do that?!

See that first tree that comes into frame on the left as he lights up the rear wheels? Well, I'm not too proud to admit that's what my 130i would be wrapped around if I tried that. I'm therefore using my Honda in the snow / ice, as I don't care so much about it.

I've been out having fun in the snow again, I am a drifting God (at 10mph getmecoat)

Some of the B roads near me could feature in rally Norway, great fun and useful to have some experience should you find yourself in a slide.

BTW thats not you in the vid is it?

I wish I could do that. I can only claim to be able to spin the rears in a thug-like fashion in a straight line and wouldn't dare risk hitting the trees like the loon in the video.

Plus I drive a 118d!

My Alpina B10 V8 Touring loves the snow and ice - now it has snow tyres on.

Seriously, I have been able to gain almost as much traction as the chelsea tractor 4x4's with their monster rims and rubber band summer tyres.

I love it too.
Gave a colleague a lift and did some lock to lock stuff.
He was papping himself.
I learned in a Datsun Violet 140J, with winter tyres on in the summer (all I could afford).
