BMW E60 Filter changes, are Fram any good?

I am going to do a pollen filter change on my E60 530D and also an air filter change.

Does anyone know if Fram filters are good enough, I dont want cheap and nasty stuff, but not to keen on paying BMW dealership prices for something I can do myself easily enough myself.

Are Fram filters a good choice or should I buy my parts from BMW/Alternative supplier and what is recommended?
