My car has the variable interval or whatever service - seems to be coming in at around 15,000 miles before an oilchange and other service work.

My last service was 7,500 miles earlier.

Is it worthwhile getting an interim oilchange now, around midway before the service is due, or just follow what is recommended and do it when the car counts down to it ? I did do one in between my last service interval and cost around £110 (IIRC).

Probably won't be kept beyond the end of next year - maybe moved on even earlier.

I would say it depends how often you drive it, is it standing still a lot between services, so the periods are longer?

200-400 miles a week, A and B roads mostly. Used almost every day. The only time it stands around is when we are on holiday, so a week at the most.

I wouldnt bother, not if your selling it, just do it when the service is due.
