X6 headlamp washer missing - not covered by warranty ...
Discussion
I know there have been a couple of threads about BMW 'pop up' headlamp washers falling off in these icy conditions, but my story has a slight twist.
To summarise, last week I noticed the o/s headlamp washer was missing, I now had a nice hole in my X6 bumper. Assuming this would be covered by warranty off I plod to Sytner Coventry BMW, only to be told, because my washer liquid didn't have a high enough concentration of antifreeze, they will not cover it under warranty, the car is just 2 years old, so have a year left.
The twist is this, I explained to the man at sytner, that they had themselves serviced the vehicle less than 2 months ago, and I had not needed to top up the washer level since no warning light came on so if it didn't have enough antifreeze in it, it was there fault as they had topped it up when it had its service. He tells me they do not add antifreeze - only water to top it up unless specified (asked for) by the customer
So now I am faced with a bill in excess of £250 judging by other threads on this subject, because they only add water to your washer liquid bottle when you pay them several hundred pounds to have your car serviced by BMW.
Judging by these two threads :

I'm guessing it time to call BMW customer services.
Anyone else know that Sytner BMW only put water in your washer bottle when you have a service these days?
Sounds absolute bo***cks to me.
