530d turbo failures

Are there any gut feelings or general expectations of turbo life on properly maintained E60 530d's? I am at a warranty renewal crossroads with my 2007 LCI, and a high probability of needing to replace turbo would be good enough reason to renew. I expect to own the car up to approx 6 years old, 120k miles. If turbo's often last 150k+ miles, I would be tempted to keep my money in the bank for now. Thanks.

My gut feeling would be to take the warranty... If it was mine, i'd be renewing. How much are BMW after by the way?

It's actually a third party warranty, not BMW, and while it is not as comprehensive as the BMW cover it does specifically include the turbo.
