E60 diagnostic port

Hi chaps, after a quick answer to my question. I am trying to find the diagnostic port to plug in a superchips bluefin but I'm having a little trouble finding it.

I have found the OBD socket which I am presuming is the correct socket, yet the Bluefin lead does not appear to match up to the OBD, can anyone advise?

Have you pulled the cap off?
I think most BMWs have it at the door hinge / a-pillar / footwell with a cover marked OBD, and inside it a plastic cap that needs to be pulled off.
