135i purchase

Mate of mine is about to buy one of these, 2009 with 20,000 kms on it.

The stats look good, I have been in a 335i that has the same engine I assume and it shifted well.

Anything he needs to look out for?

Buying it from a BMW employee, not that that makes any difference I guess, but its giving some kind of peace of mind!

Babybmw.net is a good site for details of the one series and issues they may have.

I think the big problem was the high pressure fuel pump (in America anyway). The third brake light can break too, I've had mine replaced twice under warranty.

Tyres are quite expensive so make sure there is plenty of tread on them!

Cheers for the response, I was asking more out of interest than on his behalf, he seems happy enough and should be getting it later in the week.

Warranty doesn't expire until September 2012 so I guess most things are covered.

Looking forward to having a run out against it, well until we reach a corner anyway!
