E46 320d Touring advice

Hi all,

A colleague is looking at buying a 320d, and has asked me to check on the forums if there are any common issues to look out for.

It's a 53 reg. and has a 6 speed manual.

These things are such a liability he'll never save the money he's presumably buying a diesel to save, it'll all go into fixing it.

theres load of stories of the 320d engine causing all kinds of problem. Search BMW 320d engine in google. Best advice would be to get a petrol i know they are not as economical but if something goes wrong with the 320d you will lose alot more.
