Hi all, next time I change my tyres on my 3.0SE, I'm thinking of going to non run flats. Anyone have any experiences or recomendations? I've got the standard 17" rims. Thanks in advance. thumbup

Yes - put Eagle F1 Assymetrics all round on a Z4 3.0i on 18's and it transformed the car. Handled better, better ride, less tramlining.

I had Falken FK452's on my Z4 with 18in rims. Very impressed with them and only about £450 a set!

I'm on my second set of Falken 452's on my coupe. switched a couple of years ago when i got a puncture in one of the rear run flats and it was cheaper to replace all 4 tyres with Falken's than it was to replace 2 of the rear Bridgestone runflats.

Haven't looked back, ride is better, handling is less snappy, bumps and expansion joints dont crash through the chassis as much and I perceive the grip to be slightly better too.

Only slight negative comment is that the sidewalls on non-runflats are obviously softer so sometimes turn in doesn't feel quite as sharp but after playing around with pressure levels it's pretty marginal.

i'd thoroughly recommend. Apparently the Goodyear eagle asymetrics or Michelin PS2's are even better if you've got an increased budget.

Many thanks for all your contributions biggrin now to decide if I take off the RFlats which were on the car when I bought it and are quite new, buy some non RF and re-sell the RF on ebay or somewhere. The RF are 2 x Bridgestone and 2 x Pirelli. I don't think I will ever sell the car to a BM dealer, so not worried about keeping the RFs. scratchchin
