Value this? 56' BMW 520D M-Sport, 130k Miles
Discussion
Hi people,
Thanks for reading!
We've got a company car here coming up for sale that i may be interested in buying myself but have no idea what it would be worth....
It's a 2006 56 Reg BMW 520D M-Sport, with 19" Wheels, Sat Nav etc, Black leather
The car has now done 130k MIles with Full BMW History, HOWEVER it had a brand new Engine, Turbo, DPF, Clutch & Flywheel at 100k when it decided to drop all the oil out of the engine.
This was all done by BMW and i've got all the paperwork supporting that, plus the car has spent most of its life on the motorway so i wouldn't think there's too much wear on the Suspension etc despite the mileage?
Hope that's enough info but looking forward to hearing from you as i am finding it really tricky to work out what sort of value it is as i would imagine they may struggle to sell it on too??

Sold my 55 plate 520d M Sport Touring with 105k miles last October. The book part ex offer for it was £8.5k, but I sold it privately quite easily for near £10k. I would guess that yours, a year newer but higher miles, would have a trade value under £9k, but if you wanted to buy one of that spec you would be lucky to find it for £10k. Sounds like a nice car and will have a lot of years/miles left in it yet. Good luck!

If it was on run flats the suspension will be shot imho. If it came on the 19s with non runflats then you may be OK.
I have been in 60k mile E60's that feel really tired suspension wise, mainly earlier cars to be fair though, they seemed to fair better the later they are.
Thanks guys, no runflats as they were never popular here so it's just had Conti Sport Contact 2 or 3's all round for most of it's life....
I am tempted though but will have to see what sort of money they want for it??
I guess it would be a pretty hard car to sell though, 130k? If i didn't know the history of it and know how it's been treated i'd probably not even give it a second look in all honesty.... but this one i at least have known since it was new!

Relative to selling it on - a trader friend of mine had an '04 525d SE manual, cloth interior, 155K miles taken as a trade in. It was a clean car but rather ordinary looking. Advertised it at £5800 and the phone went bonkers. Sold it for full asking price.I am tempted though but will have to see what sort of money they want for it??
