E39: Swirl Flap removal and EGR delete

Can anyone point me in the direction to a guide to do the two jobs above. If it helps I'm going to be doing both to my E39 530d.

I still need to get round to doing mine as well. I have not heard about the EGR thing though..Can you educate me?
