Morning all,

The X5 is one again giving my arse a headache. The ABS is cutting in waaaay too early, and the DSC thingy cuts in when cornering at normal speeds (honestly) and I tend to vear in a straight line. This is pretty worrying. Before I take it in and be bent over, do you think old tyres could cause all this? They are old (3 years which in Dubai's heat is very old) but they have plenty of tread left on them.

Many thanks.

The ABS will only cut in if the tyres are loosing grip, (sorry to state the obvious), AVON tyres are notorious for this for example....
As for the DSC, turn it off, it's next to fking useless anyway! It almost caused me to crash the first time I went around a roundbout, so I switched it off every time I drove the car.

Yes, it stinks of losing grip, doesn't it?
Just wondered if anyone had experienced the same...ie the ABS/DSc failing all of a sudden?!
Many thanks.
