Well people are getting 7/8% off the price of a F10 and that's a new model so I'd be expecting at least 10% for an X5 - have a look on some of the brokers websites (broadspeed etc) to get an idea of what on offer.
But be prepared to work for it - playing dealers off each other, making lots of phone calls etc.

Blimey... I've been working the dealer network in the past month and have struggling to get a deal better than 6% off a new 135i But be prepared to work for it - playing dealers off each other, making lots of phone calls etc.

And I know people who got 10-15% off a new 135i last year. I wished I'd been in the position to get one last year

I'm hoping to order a new X5 this week. Has anyone actually managed to get 10% off a 40d recently from a franchised BMW dealer?
I looked on Broadspeed and the savings are impressive (about 10%) - has anyone used them? What's the catch? (They say that they only source UK cars and apparently just introduce the buyer to a BMW main dealer who's willing to offer such a discount)

I've never bought from Broadspeed myself but did try to find a car through them...they were very helpful, told me the model I was after was in short supply and discounts were hard to get. Suggested alternative cars....didn't charge for the advice. A mate has used Broadspeed and said they were great.

Thanks Beardy. I'm going to see if I can get a decent discount from BMW and, if not, will look into the Broadspeed option further. I know that the line that the BMW dealers are peddling is that the x5 is in massive demand, but the 2nd hand market is absolutely flooded!
They mean to say was in massive demand. Sales are always strong during the Winter and a mate of mine paid top dollar for one in December when everyone was paranoid about snow. Now we are getting better weather (south of the border) it is noticeable how stock is building up as excessive prices coupled with lower demand = no sales. No reason why new cars should be fairing any betterGassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
