Not a regular poster by any means but need to a) have a rant and b) warn others.

Yesterday my father in law had the rear bumper (including parking sensors) stolen from his E65 745. The car is parked on the street and is used every day so was done over night. The road is well lit and a through road.

Where do these people get off...

Anyway i have checked ebay already and the bumpers on there don't appear to be his but if anyone sees a silver E65 bumper for sale please let me know.

End of rant furious

My work colleauge had his rear bumper stolen from his Civic Type R last year & it was parked underneath his bedroom window.
It cost him almost a grand for a new one. People will do anything these days to make some money without thinking about the owners who foot the bill. Bloody scum!

Stuff like this makes my blood boil!

To quote a very good film (Pulp Fiction, Vincent Vega) -: 'you do not *uck with a man's auto mobile!'

Seriously though, sorry to hear about your father in laws trouble.

Know the feeling.

Had the front bumper removed very carefully from my E36 M3 a few years ago frown

Due to the then wife deciding she needed "space" I was at the mother in laws that night. Parked on her drive not 4" away from the garage door. They managed to remove it in such a small space (using the so-called security light to assist), both the fog lights were unplugged and even the temp sensor which is in the offside intake for the brake was still plugged in and intact.

£1500 quid to have a main stealer fit a new one and respray.

B******s

I've seen several reports of exhausts being stolen too - even from supermarket car parks.

Many years ago my dad returned from work to his Cortina in the station car park.

Turned the key and nothing happened. It was not, as he first suspected, a battery issue.

Someone had stolen the starter motor.
