welcome to the forums!

I purchased my 335d coupe in Oct 2010 its a 2008 se spec with everything bar sat nav (I like tom tom..) Paid £21k for it... was about to purchase a Cayman s last weekend (I dont keep my cars long) but decided against... The dealer offered to PX mine for £19500 which i thought was pretty good. Book price is about that. Not many 335d coupe around and they felt they could move it on quite easily. had this from tow separate dealers. Mine got 40k on the clock. if your keen and based in the midlands I might be willing to sell!

No experience of the 535's but with the new shape out I fear their residuals may be hit harder...

I reckon the 335d will depreciate less, especially the Touring wink

Shout if you need any info - I've had one for just over a year and still absolutely love it. Not without flaws but they are superb allrounders.

335d in coupe or touring will hold its value best, the 535d prices are too high at the moment imho, and as soon as you start to see F10 535d's (the new shape) at £35k you will see massive drops on late E60 cars.

Back in March a 50k miles 535d sport touring facelift with decent spec was around the £23-26k mark, look again now and the 535d can be had for around £17-18k.
However, the coupe seems to have lost just as much.

I think you just buy what you prefer to be honest. 335 is a very different beast to a 535, I would buy the 535d if the space is needed or you give a shot what the neighbours see on your drive, however I think the 335d is the better car in every other respect.

i've only been looking at pre facelift before and didn't take note of the LCI models. you're probably right and the people selling now are hurting and advertising at high money

seen two lci 535d touring sport both fully spec'd, one at 63k the other 83k, what do you think is a good price to pay for both?
