I have an 02 330Ci with Sat nav.

Had it from new and the SatNav maps are a bit out of date now.

Is there a cheaper way to get a new sat nav disc without paying dealer prices ?

Thanks

You can buy them for £20-£25 online but they're not official. Still work, no idea on legality...

Hi try this website http://www.euronavdiscs.com/. I've just bought a 2011 disc for my Z4 from here & although i initially had a problem with the 1st disc not loading properly. After sending an email explaining the problem i had a replaacement disc was sent out straight away & the replacment disc worked 1st time perfectly when installed. you can use Paypal to pay, they're good at responding to emails if you have a problem & the disc i had only cost £30.

Thanks Guys,

Mine sat Nav is apparently steam powered and runs on a Cd rather than a DVD.

went for a CD from:

http://www.bmw-satnav.co.uk/

at £25.

Will post up results next week.

This is freely available online, so don't pay for it!

I should make clear that I am not advocating copyright theft - however, you'd be paying someone else for something which is free.

I think jobbo means that the software to update the unit is available free, not the actual map discs mate.

The guys over on Xoutpost are pretty switched on with factory nav, the have all the latest firmware to download for free.

rtv is spot on. That's exactly what I was talking about. Sorry, I quoted more than I intended so it wasn't clear; the map software will cost you, but if you go to one of the aftermarket suppliers then it's much cheaper than BMW.

Thanks Guys, got it !

I think I only bought the new maps. I wasn't aware you needed to upgrade the software also but it was included in the package.

Still not bad for £25 all in inc postage (next day delivery)
