Right, the Mitsi VR4 has to go.
I'm just not using the performance of the car to justify regular 20mpg or less in a daily driver, whilst it is a brilliant car with possibly the best performance of a large(ish) estate bar the Audi RS cars, siting in London traffic or plodding on the motorway doesn't do it justice, and it's now 14 years old.
I've got the Camaro for fast car/dry day fun and it looks like my work related mileage is gonna increase so a diesel uber-estate looks the way forward. Don't like Audis or Mercs so the Beemer looks best.

I've got about £10k to spend so will I find a decent facelift E60 touring 525d or 530d without galactic miles ? Anyone got any suggestions on what to check if so..

When DPF filter, brake pads, service etc need doing on iDrive.
That rear glass screen doesn't pop open when you unlock the car (tailgate wiring / switch issue).
That the auto box sump isn't leaking - common after 60k
No warped alloys - don't be fobbed off by just needs a balance.
No warning lights - particular airbag ( often related to passenger seat sensor)

Good car. 530 much better of the two.
