I'm just looking at a Z4M that was previously a demo, wondering if like Porsches, the dealer can plug in diagnostics and find out if any over rev incidents have happened.

On porkers, dealers can print out rev range 1 / 2 data (usually caused by changing down too early). My local beemer dealer is not forthcoming, says this can only be acccess by BMW UK.

Any idea chaps?

Nope, dealer can't do it-BMW technical may be able to if the DME is sent back under warranty, but they have no need to.

on my old e36 there was a hidden menu in the display on the dash, you can get it to show overheat and over rev and a few other things, google search will be able to tell you if this is available on the z4m.
