I've just bought an IPOD shuffle (I assume the latest model). I want to connect it to the cars sound system. I Do not have idrive. Can anybody advise me how I connect up, what cables I need. In the armrest box there is a connection marked AUX IN and I assume I have to plug the Ipod into this. I'm sure the whole process is very simple, but as a technophobe I'm terrified of buggering things up. Any help will be much appreciated.

You just need a lead with a 1/16th inch (im pretty sure) headphone plug on each end(the size of the socket on the ipod). It's then a case of plugging both ends in, setting your ipod playing and selecting the AUX channel on the cars hifi. At least that is all you need to do on my E92... You won't have any control over the ipod through the car stereo, it will simply play whatever you select on the ipod. Hope this helps.

Thank's Guy, that's what I thought I'd need; just didn't want to buy a lead and find it wouldn't work.

I bought a Car Sterio Cable from Belkin and it works a treat - thanks again Guy.
