Hi

I'm hoping to purchase one of the above cars but was wondering the real MPG as i'm going to be doing quite alot of motorway miles. Also if theres any engine issues with the versions.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

Max

A couple of clarifications, what 5 series (E39/E60/F10) and petrol or diesel, as 2.0/2.5 could cover about 20 different models hehe

2010 520d Auto 45mpg on motorways, it could probably do 48mpg but I like to accelerate when I get the chance. Around town I'm getting about 30-35mpg. The manual should do a couple of mpg higher, M-Sport is the same car with different styling and stiffer suspension so expect the same. Great cars...

is that the last of the E60's or the F10?

The OP should clarify what he's after but in theory he is talking about the E60 because there was never an E39 M Sport - they were all Sport. M Sport was introduced as a trim level in late 2005 on the E60.

Plus, there was never a 2 litre Sport E39 either - the 520i Sport, produced for a very limited period only, was a 2.2.

Thus the OP must be referring to either a 520d M Sport, a 523i M Sport, a 525i M Sport or a 525d M Sport?
