Passenger window problems on 2004 e46 coupe
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Ive got a really annoying problem with my coupe, upon locking the car via alarm on keyfob the passenger window sometimes rolls down about 4 inches and stays in this position. This happened about 6 months ago aswel but mysteriously vanished after about 2 weeks. problem has come back to rear her ugly head again. nearly got the leather soaked last week as a result.
It has been doing this pretty much every time I lock the car this week and I'm quiet annoyed to say the least.
Ive looked about and haven't noticed a thread with the same issue but with similarish.
Any ideas of whats gone or what needs replacements and costs?
Cheers for any help in advance.

Think ive seen this before, and sounds like the window reg is faulty. These can be a bit of a pain to get the window set up right as its needs to be correctly adjusted for when you close the door the window slides into the channel. Get this wrong and you can have horrendous wind noise, or in the worse case senario can smash the glass when you close the door as it can hit the outside of the channel or the rear quarter window. You can access the adjusted screws by removing the outside door moulding, then you close the door on the first catch, with the window fully up and make sure it sits nicely on the door seal and there should be a 10mm gap around the sides and the top of the window. Tighten all up and re-check on the first catch, if ok then close as normal and the window should go up into the channel and job done. If you still have wind noise after this, try re-adjusting by closing the gap a few mm and re trying. Done a fair few of these when they was under warranty for wind noise and badly closing doors.
