Hi All, just thought I'd tap into your collective knowledge.

I have just started commuting to Liverpool St most days and I am still not sure what the best way is. Currently best going = M3,Richmond, Hammersmith A4, Embankment and then Moorgate via Bank. I've tried other ways, but they are all slower.

I have not found a good way of getting out yet, I keep trying to get out on A4, however, this seems to be a nightmare. I would guess I'd be best to get down to Embankment again as soon as possible.

I have tried going South of the river and no improvement.

Your suggestions please......

Or come back through Putney, Barnes, Mortlake onto the A316. Through Richmond then straight onto the M3. A316 is pretty reasonable once you get past Richmond.

To get to Putney could try coming through Smithfield Market down over Ludgate and onto Victoria Embankment at Blackfriars bridge. Stay North, go past Vauxhall bridge, Albert bridge etc. and onto Kings Road, all the way to Putney bridge. Over the bridge, immediate right towards Barnes.

I'd estimate 45-50 mins from Moorgate to M3, how does that compare? Interested as I do Southwark to M3 every day and faster routes would be great.

After trying a few routes it seems best way in and out is Richmond, Putney, Putney Bridge, Embankment.

I can get from Winchester to Liverpool St in 1 hr 20 to 1 hr 30 and back in about 1.30.

I am still interested in any other suggestions

Cheers,

Matt
