Well, the deed is done. Insurance quotes all gathered, imoff to Salisbury tomorrow morning to sign my life over for a new bike .... XRV 750 Africa Twin.
Its one of the very last models to be made, so will probably keep it for a few years. one previous owner (an old guy), less than 2000 miles on the clock, with over £1500 worth of accessories fitted to the bike.

Aha - I live just off the A303, near Winterbourne Stoke. I may well be up for a rideout over the summer, assuming I can pass my bloody test (2nd try tomorrow!).

Sorry for not posting for a while, but since Picking the bike up, Ive done about 300 miles on it.
Took it across Salisbury Plain last night, and this evening, got it nice and dirty.
Loads of Torque, but it maxes out about 105 - 110 .. enough to get me banned, but its not crazy sports bike terratory. Very imposing though on the roads. People give way and move of one side to let me pass.
