Just because I can't find a forum on this already, and I've got a good one. Mine's a bike so maybe this should have gone in biker banter, but I do want to see cars too....


My starter switch packed up. I had two spare right-hand switch blocks but they were both useless (one dead, the other the wrong one for the bike) so I ahem 'engineered' a replacement. The 'start' button actually starts the bike! It's meant to be only temporary until I sort a new switch out, but they are rocking horse st so that may be a while.
Still, makes people smile/turn their faces in disgust so it's all good....

Otherman: Yes you do need the key. Just like a normal bike starter button

Was trying to remember the last time I saw one of those stupid static strips hanging off the back bumper - whatever happened to them, and how do so many of us manage without them?

Can you guys not see the picture?? I got an old nintento controller and mounted a small switch inside it so the 'start' button starts the bike, then cable tied it next to the headlight. Bit of a bodge really...

I think the pipe should be modified to make the silencer high level mounted, and ideally have one each side You should fit a tail tidy as well; it would lose quite a bit of weight since it would involve removing a substantial part of the frame.
