I've just heard that with the new car exams you have to do a "show and tell" e.g like where's the dipstick and how do you check the oil.

Do you also have to do this with bike now?

If so what questions do they ask?

No idea, sorry - but when I took my theory test in Spain around 14 years ago we needed to know things like max. per axle and total permissible load for 4, 6 and 8-axled lorries/trailer combos, the engineering rationale for using gears as well as brakes on steep descents, 2 and 4 stroke engine cycles, etc.

What you're asking for sounds as if it will take 2 minutes to learn.

Yes, they do - it's nothing complicated though. How do you check the chain tension, how do you check the horn works, what is the effect of carrying a pillion etc.

They do indeed. Theyre not pass/fail questions, they just want to know that you have an idea of how to look after your bike.
