Is it just me or do car drivers deliberately do stranger things when your on a bike than when your in a car?Passed my test 8 months ago and quite rightly its rammed down my throat about expecting the unexpected, what's everyone elses experiences about dumb things car drivers do when your on yer bike?Strangest two things that have happened to me so far are riding along on my sp1 in a 20mph zone(christ that's hard on this bike)and a lady sitting at a side road on my left ready to come out,she sits there, looks to the left, looks towards me,i'm 95% sure she looked straight at me,my lights were on,and she still pulled out right in front of me?She was only maybe in her thirties, next dumbest thing was yesterday, along a country road doing about 50mph and there was a sweeping right hand bend,a blind corner,i just got around it and a guy in a BMW was on my side of the road, not overtaking!?He missed me by a couple of feet, what a prick!Theres paying attention to car drivers then there's this need for some subliminal 6th sense when it comes to assholes like this, talk about the last thing i suspected,he was fully on my side of the road!I'll never shift these shit stains from the lining of my Sidi's

I found the same once I got on a bike.
Bin a car driver from 18 got me first bike at 26 an boy did driving that bike make me a better car driver
I became far more aware of what was out there an how fast it could arrive next to you from nowere

Some drivers know you are there and are just ignorant t***s, others are very courtious see you and make you aware they know you are there by moving over or wave you by etc, both see bikers and react diffrently, the worst of all are the blissfully unaware type in there own little world who have the words sorry mate jus dint see you on the tip of their tongue!!!!!!

I know some folk driving these little wizzer skooters act like complete T***s but it may be the next generation of car drivers here who actually mite think to look out and be courtious to bikes so may be a good thing, infact they should make a CBT a compusory part of the car test it would make car drivers far more aware of bikes from the start and could cut the accidents

welcome to bikes! thats why bike deaths are on the increase, and the gov blame poor biking skills, and want to toughen the test

last week: coach (biggest double decker beast Ive ever seen) on opposite approach of tiny mini island (8 foot from me)

me indicating, in right lane, lights on, 5 other bikes on my arse, I take the turn, am about to accelerate off the exit, coach pulls out and tries to ram the 5 behind me (practically inches from each other)
we all stop and give hand gestur4es as to out feelings..

2 miles on, light controlled crossroads, goes green, move off, cars in turn right filter on left side, ignore red and continue to pull out from left, across my path.

First one doesnt even flinch at 5 bike horns, second comes to a skidding stop inches from my feet, and looks apolgetic, or was it scared?

Riding along in a 30 limit, passing side road on my left. Just as I pass it, a car coming the opposite way along the main road decides to turn into the side road and attempts to do this by driving straight through me. Caught my right leg between the bike and the car, praise the Lord didn't break it.

Car driver gets out and says "sorry, I was dazzled"... Dazzled?!? It was 10:30am and she was heading west-north-west, with the sun directly behind her!
