Stupid question time.

Previous owner had started to remove teh sticker and then obviously was finding it too hard and left it half picked at and it looks a mess.

just tried with my nails and I am reving about .040mm per 5 minutes work so I can see why he gave up.

Any ideas?

Hair dryer?
Tea towel soaked in fairy liquid
Nail polish remover (careful if it's lacquered!)

celulose thinners, acetate or xylene will do the trick. Have you got any holts engine start, as that'll also do nicely..... Watch those nail extensions though phil!

Spray on some furntiure polish, leave it for a few minutes, then t should just scrape off. Wash it after the sticker's off.

I found if you use citric acid from an orange or lemon that works quite well and smells good too. Just make sure you dont have any little cuts on your fingers as it stings like hell.

Good luck with it

exactly what I have used to remove any tough stickers. Loads of it on a rag. ALso an old credit card can be useful to avoid scratching paint, but can lift the sticky bits.

It might be a daft question but who the hell has "an old credit card" kicking about, if it expires or gets replaced I cut it up otherwise its still valid and not "old" sorry Ijust read that and thought "old credit card" oh yes I've got a bag full for just that reason.

We used to do this to recycle those old computer storage tapes. Didn't believe it would work until I saw it done with pledge.
