Exhaust blowing off under full throttle!!!

As per the title really, I have a Scorpion carbon exhaust for a 929 Blade, and the other week when pulling off a favorite roundabout the bike suddenly became very loud! Looked down and the exhaust can had separated where the carbon joins the header pipe. There is a metal ring which hold the carbon can onto the mounting bracket, and for some reason the carbon had pushed itself out, and separated from where it joins the header pipe. Anyway, I took it to a friend whos an engineer and we drilled out the rivets and put new ones in. It felt fairly strong to hold, so I put it back on the bike and the 3 days later it did exactly the same thing again.
Any ideas? Is my bike overfuelling and literally blowing off the exahust under WOT? Is it a known fault with these kind of systems? The bike has never been dropped onto it while Ive had it, and it shows no marks of previous damage, so I doubt that would have anything to do with it.

Be careful if it keeps doing it because you could end facing an insurance claim from the person behind if it dents their car or causes them to swerve to avoid. That would ruin your day.
I was just thinking of that, but without any proof of purchase, and not knowing how long it was since the thing was made Im not sure where I would stand, regarding any kind of warranty. Also the previous owner has ground off the 'track use only' markings!!Be careful if it keeps doing it because you could end facing an insurance claim from the person behind if it dents their car or causes them to swerve to avoid. And the second point is exactly what Im worried about - while Ive not lost it as in dropped it on the road yet (the holder attached to the footpeg has always caught it so far) its not fun knowing that you could drop a decent sized lump of alloy and CF on the road!

So let me get this straight. Is it the carbon sleeve that is blowing off the end cap of the silencer, or the silencer unit blowing off the exhaust down pipe.
For either of these situations to occur the rivets have to sheer, or perhaps the carbon sleeve has split around the holes that the rivets slot through.
Some pics would helpful.
To force off an end can where it would sheer the rivets requires a HELL of a lot of pressure; are you sure the one of the baffles hasn't collapsed and partially blocked the can. But then I can't see how it could without you noticing the engine running very badly.

Indeed. I'll go and take some. Here we go... as you can see the metal band isnt tight enough round the carbon can, even though it felt pretty tight when we re-did it last week. The CF doesnt seem to be broken, I dont think they were supposed to be holes as opposed to being slots like they are.

So the sleeve is clamped on by the band and rivets. I'm assuming it's not like a big jubilee clip with the adjuster out of sight, so you have a couple of options as I see it.
Re-rivet but tighter this time. And/or consider making a shim for the sleeve if the problem is the carbon has worn too thin for whatever reason
Rotate the sleeve and drill some new holes and rivet into these instead of the slots. Note the end cap at the other end will need doing too or it will be rotated slightly.
Failing some high temp epoxy or something?
Re-rivet but tighter this time. And/or consider making a shim for the sleeve if the problem is the carbon has worn too thin for whatever reason

No big jubilee, or adjustment of any description. Re-rivet but tighter this time. And/or consider making a shim for the sleeve if the problem is the carbon has worn too thin for whatever reason

Not sure how I can re-rivet it tighter. The lad who did the work last time is an agricultural engineer by trade and I have a lot of mechanical experience (albeit no workshop atm, hence using him), and we were both satisfied with the result. It certainly didnt feel slack in any way.
Could make a shim for it I guess. Not a huge job.
High temperature glue sounds the best idea though. Combined with a new set of rivets.
Rotating the thing is out of the question I think, it would look terrible as you would see the old holes.
Have you contacted the Manufacturer?

Are you sure they should be slots? I've never seen a carbon can fitted like that with slots rather than holes, that said I've only dismantled Termi cans but they have holes rather than slots and I can't see a Ducati/Termi can holding together with only slots.
Can you turn the sleeve around 180 degrees or whatever fits so you can drill holes in it? or move the band around and drill new holes in the sleeve and endcap, failing that you can buy replacement carbon sleeves in most sizes...
