FFS you are commuting into the most congested sth0le cities (London) ever. Why do you need lame brain panniers? get the fark out out lane 2.5 and sit with the cars. That includes you, mr sad Pan am Can Am silly 3 wheeler bloke. The whole point of bikes is that they are slim and can FILTER you idiot. Or if you must try it, get out of my way. Use your mirrors dumbo. My scooter is faster than your abomination, my bike is faster than everything else, apparently, as I'm the only sodding rider in the high winds and rain recently that doesn't have the bloody panniers and extra wheels. ARGHHHHH. I need beer and relaxation. Thank you.

Don't be daft. These riders with panniers are full on AWBs and therefore have more skill in their little finger than you'll ever have.

Ping.

So that's people not wearing enough leather, loud exhausts and commuters moaning about more bikes in traffic jams.

All that's left is a car v's bike TT thread and we've got all the "start of every summer, every year" threads done...

Big bikes with wide panniers driven by experienced riders filter far better and far faster and far safer than little bikes driven by chumps.

Little scooters with no panniers ridden by experienced riders filter far better and far faster than big bikes with panniers ridden by chumps.

Although i will agree that most of the st riders appear to be sporting a red L.

Well, my F800ST BMW is the same width across the sports panniers as it is across the mirrors. Which kindof kills the point of the OP.

I have two massive panniers on my sprint and get through 'almost' anything...I've hardly seen another bike last few days into london as they all seem too scared of the wind and rain anywaysmile

Experienced riders don't like to commute on little scooters, because they lack the optional intercom and MP3 player of their Pan European, which lets them listen to Barry Manilow while negotiating London traffic.

I used my bike for work for the first time in about 6 weeks this morning. Jesus Christ there was some fking idiots out this morning.

A cyclist who decided to pull in front of me just as I was pulling away – you’re a very lucky man

Some ginger bird on a 600 who has no idea about filtering or consideration to other bikers

The usual ahole Addison Lee drivers

The scooter rider who decided to block me between himself and the Porsche and then started squeezing me – yes, you deserved that gobful, you idiot

I missed it – it gets me fired up ready for the day.

I didn't really worry about traffic this morning as I spent my journey sneezing into my crash helmet. Sun's out and hayfever's gone mad frown
