ZX7/9R conversion
Discussion
Some of you might now know that this is the intended path to be taken my now defunct ZX7RR race bike to chuck in a ZX9R (C or D) engine however I'm just researching it and whats needed/involved and I'm getting conflicting details, the point is I know that either Performance or Super Bikes did an article on it about a year plus ago and I'm buggered if I can find the issue or any info on the web about it, If anyones got any good pointers, urls or advice please let me know as this thing is going to happen I just don't want to have to make too much of it up as I go along. cheers
Phone Pro-Bike in Newbury (Berkshire), they had the actual bike featured in the mag for sale a while ago (could be as little as a few months ago). If they don't still have it they may be able to pass on your details to the person they sold it to so they could get in touch with you, if you see what I mean.
Pro-bike's number is 01635 581500.
Hope this helps,
Mark

If you do go through with this project is there any chance that you could document what you did with digital pictures on a web page?
I *love* the looks of the zx7r and would dearly like one with more power and torque. I sorely miss my old zxr750 and wish I'd bought it when I had some riding experience rather than straight after my test so I could have enjoyed it rather than being scared by it.

I'd love to document it all as web pages, however I am a self confessed, interwebnet thingy biffer. It's a shame as there is even an old pc in the garage for viewing the micro fiche parts cd's etc. Carzee is working up at my place in a few weeks so I'll pick his IT geeky type brain and see whats involved, if it's easy enough i'll do it.
Project Cancelled
I fell across a replacement ZX7RR engine yesterday, it's been raced so no electrics etc but I've got all that spare so no problems. Complete with the RR gearbox fitted £350!!! To good an offer to refuse the thing will be in and fitted within a fortnight and should be road "legal" within a couple of weeks after that.
