No sniggering, I am looking to keep my internals clean, and have been taking my lid into the shower with me and washing it with shampoo, does anyone use anything easier? It takes an age to dry.
I don'y have a removeable lining so no choice really.

Mark
dern!!!
sticking it in the shower with some PH5* body wash gel is the best way really. Then leave it out in the scorching sunlight, while you crack open a tinny...
yeah right, the airing cupboard overnight should dry it.
* no perfume brands are best, like johnsons baby stuff.

Work it in with your hand or a really soft brush and then rinse with the shower until completely froth free (the number of dead bugs that come out of the vents is a bit grim). I prefer to leave it outside to dry but the airing cupboard works too. It will take a few days to dry though.

The results are really good in that your helmet doesn't stink any more and even better it seems to 'puff up' the lining making the helmet fit more snugly once again.
Good luck,

I use a foam spray that I bought in hein gerrick and it works a treat. Its anti bac so it kills any nasty smells and if you spray it in and scrub it with a brush it usually comes up great. Also it drys quite quick as its alcohol based and when its dry i just give it a brush out to remove any loose dirt.
I really cant see me washing my M/C helmet in the shower!!! Weird!! do you guys really do that?

Now that you mention polishing your lid ;-) I bought this cheep ass stuff from our local pound shop called bug shifter for m/c helmets.
Its bloody amazing.
It's a foam that you spray on and it sticks to the lid and then evaporates to an amazing shine with a quick polish.
Also shifts bugs with ease which is nice when you live in migie land like me.

Yes indeed, after several yrs of bike use & also quite a few car track days over those yrs- which really makes you sweat with out any air flow & coupled to the fact that I use entirely very manly products on my head to keep my wafro (whitemans afro

So did mine last night & in the absence of any baby shampoo I used what ever was to hand- which happened to be some Sunsilk stuff with added Duo Keratins! ment to keep ya hair silky & smooth, so maybe now my lid will be the same
