Who knows their stuff about trailers..... no no no, NOT the ones wot fat people put on the back of goldwings to carry needless stuff on holiday! the ones wot carry 1 or 2 bikes to track days wiv....?

I have heard there are pitfalls - that you need to watch out for decent frames, ramps & tyres - but I've been unable to find a UK manufacturer on the interweb....

Any ideas?

ebay!!

Bought my trailer from ebay.
same as this one (who are also a good firm)
www.indespension.com/trailers.htm

I went for a ch750

things to consider. If your buy a two bay one - what happens when you only tow one bike? you have to use left or right channel - and you will upset the balance on the corners..

you need decent tie down locations.
A spare wheel isnt necessary and go to a caravan shop for the numberplates/light boards etc, cheaper than the trailer sellers.

I can also do erde storage jacks. £70 two steel legs that allow you to balance the trailer on its side, off the wheels, therefore store it in the garage space savingily, and removing strains on the suspension of one of the wheels.

From what I gather - the 2 bike trailers have a 3rd bay (in the center) that covers the balance problem - this does not make them 3 bike trailers - just sorts out that issue.

Thanks for the help chaps

1 or 3 bay the sensible option (3 bay will only carry 2 bikes don't forget)

Examples on the site I mentioned

I have a trelgo, which seems very good. Nicely made, all properly galvanised. Proper lights, hitch, and so on. It's set up for 1 bike, but you can get them for 2 as well.

I paid £270 for it brand new last year. £135 for the towbar on the car.
