Triumph Sprint ST Lights
Discussion
Help please, i've just purchased a Sprint ST and i am not sure the lights are correct. Shining them against the garage door, one seems blurred rather than a definite beam, both on dipped and high beam. The position light doesnt seem to come on at all. Which lights should come on in the dipped position and high position? The blurred bit could be a displaced bulb, thinking back to car headlight days. The handbook says remove the cockpit to access bulbs, do they mean the dash or the top fairing? Sorry just recently got into bikes so a bit of a thicky here! Thanks for any assistance.
How old is your bike? I bought a Sprint ST late last year and due to some stupid f@@Ckwit in Brussels who is obviously retarded I am only allowed to have one light on at a time. Left for dipped beam, right for full beam. I can buy a relay to bring both lights on at the same time, but that wouldn't be strictly legal. My bike looks as if it has a bulb blown, it really pi$$es me off more than it should.

The "one light on at a time" story has been floating around the bike press for some time now, but is there really any basis for it? Plenty of bikes have 2 lights on at once, so I don't think you will be illegal if you wire them to come on together.
One light being blurred sounds like bulb in wrong position, I've done the same thing myself, very easy when what you really need is a triple jointed arm to get in behind the fairing.
