Hi guys.

I currently live in W9 - so Westminster Council, and with the residents permit I've never really had an issue parking anywhere excelt Chelsea.

However I'm about to move to Putney (Wandsworth Council), and just want clarification. Wandsworth website says:
Wandsworth Site said:
Motorcycles can park in any permit holder or shared use (permit holder and pay and display) bay without displaying a permit or pay and display ticket. Motorcyclists are advised to park considerately with their back wheels to the kerb.
Which I'm taking as: I dont need a permit for my bike to park anywhere?

As I will still be travelling to Westminister areas a lot, I guess the £100 a year , as of here: http://www.westminster.gov.uk/services/transportan...

So, buy as non resident permit for Westminster, and no resident permit needed for Wansworth? Thinking I may as well get a chelsea permit too, as the two tickets I got there would have paid for it anyways.

Yep free parking for motorbikes in residents bays in Wandsworth (Im a resident) but not Pay and Display. Most car parks have a free bike bay or two as well. I would park end on though as the parking stasi are militant in Wandsworth.

Park end on = perpendicular to the kerb, as opposed to parallel parked. (Your quote from Wandsworth Council also said the same so would be good advice)

Good summary of the nightmare of different rules across London here:

http://www.motorcycleparking.com/parking_london.sh...

Worth having a copy on your phone or printed and stuffed in your jacket if you ever stray out of your normal places.
