Cant decide whether to buy a Hayabusa or GSXR 750, I'm about 6'2' and want something that will be comfortable for days out and not cripple me.... Seen some good pre reg'd deals on them both so not much difference in price...
Thought of a zzr1400 but cant bring myself to spend 11.5k on one.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated...

Cheers

What do you want out of the bike?

Ballistic speed?
Razor handling?
Reasonable comfort?
Fuel economy? ( hehe )

When do you intend to ride it?

How far?
How frequently?
What seasons?

Give us something to work with here!

My mates got a hayabusa and he cant part with it. We all know there obviously ballistic but i've ridden it and its pure comfort,a road i would ride on my old R1 the front would be in the air with humps and dips but the weight of the busa had me nailing it and full of confidence. He has a 750 srad also like myself so best of both worlds.

Yes, a thousand times yes!
A man of your size will be comfortable and have the body mass to keep the front under control!!!!
I had one when they first came out and still rate it as the best ALL round bike that I have owned. Toured France on it two up and had many an epic ride with mates on R1s etc.
It did just about anything and with so much panache.
Yes, of course the Uglybusa was not and never will be perfect but a very hard act to follow.
Go on - have an experience of a lifetime.

Cheers for the replies, have strangely always like the looks of them... There are some 2012 models for the right money, obviously the 2013 will have ABS but will be 2.5k more... Never had ABS on bike so doubt I will miss it....
Think I will get myself to the dealers tomorrow and see what I can sort out....

Get one! I always wanted one. I nearly bought the Limited Edition one but bought Harley instead. I love them! If I could have afforded both I would. Don't listen to people who say they are ugly. They aren't. You either get them or you don't. The newer models are the business.

Im sorry but they are ugly.

what you have just said is a bit like how ugly people say, "its not whats on the outside thats important its whats on the inside".

Is this how hiyabusa owners talk to each other biggrin

Very true....the Busa handles a lot better than people who havent riden one credit them with, you need to try one really.

I love my Busa, they are stonking to ride and do have a certain sense of occasion to me, the looks are a bit of a marmite thing but I like them...and they sold well enough so I cant be alone!

I also like the focus of a sportsbike. so spread my money across 2 less expensive bikes, buying a early Busa and an SRAD like k1lleboys friend, best of both worlds..

I'm going to track myself one down tomorrow to have a try on, just trying to find some sensible insurance quotes now, doesn't seem any more expensive to insure than the 750...

What would you prefer: a girlfriend who is a bit ugly, but really really really REALLY R_E_A_L_L_Y perverted... or a model lookalike who hates sex?

'Nuff said. Hayabusa.

Had mine for a few years, hardly use it, but would not be without it. Have had loads of bikes but the Hayabusa is the best.
