Fork seal gone, rough cost?

Thanks guys, so I should be looking between £70-£150 really then? It's just so when I phone up a little later I don't get a shock of what it costs as in the 13 years I've been riding I've only had one seal go and I'm sure that was about £50 back in 2005.
That sounds reasonable, and was in the ballpark for the leaky seal on my RSV with Ohlins. Sadly, they needed a £300 rebuild, instead of just the seal

Right seriously has anyone got any links to good videos for chainging fork seals/fork oil?
to op, isnt it under warranty? ive been quoted in the past £100-120 at a small garage, (id change a set at a time but thats just me)
At triumph eh, add on another £80 easy....

You can save some money if you remove the fork legs yourself. I was quoted £60 for both legs if I did that from an independant.
TBH though, it's getting the stanchions off the bike that is the most time consuming part of the job. Once you have the legs off changing the seals should be fairly straightforward *- Unless you need any special tools of course.

I don't know of anyone I would trust really! The main dealers have always given me better service than local indies but I'm always willing to listen to other places.
You can trust Nutsmoto in Wymondham. The owner's an ex engine builder at Lotus, and StuB on here will vouch for his work as he's the lad who helped him out when he had an off whilst racing at Snetterton

Yeh that, but use a feeler gauge insted of that plastic thingy. gotta be worth a try before going to all the expense of stripping the bike down...moanthebairns said:

Watched this the other day, which explains it well and suggests cheap DIY alternatives to proper seal drivers and the like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrmYJgcGX30to op, isnt it under warranty? ive been quoted in the past £100-120 at a small garage, (id change a set at a time but thats just me)
