OK... its coming to that time of year where I want to change my bike. Being new to biking (18 months) I've been riding a Bandit 600, mainly because it's not that fast, if you go over 100mph it tries to peel you off the back and it doesn't bring out the nutter in me too much.

I've been thinking about either a FJR1300, VFR800 or a Hayabusa. I'm looking for something that is going to be comfortable to ride everyday for a motorway commute, something that my wife will be comfortable on and something that is obviously going to be reliable.

Any suggestion or comments would be gratefully appreciated.

Out of that list I would go for the VFR, but a pre VTEC one, they seem to be better regarded and hold their value etc.

I'm sure there are tonnes out there mind you. I have recently got a KTM 950, fantastic two up, goes quick and is great fun. What about beamers?

I've been riding about 18 months too and just switching from a Multistrada to BMW R1200GS.

I'm moving to less sporty and more comfortable etc - but then I am older - but not wiser.

I had a VFR pre V-TEC for about 6 months. I found it a bit gutless and traded it in for a new Blackbird.

Best thing I've ever done! Get yourself a Blackbird - comfortable, very fast and very well built.
