I did my DAS course back in december and brought an R6, but none of my mates are fellow bikers.

Anyone organising meets, rides in the Thames Valley Area?

Cheers

Tony

Hi Tony - congrats to you!

Keep an eye on this board and also check out my website (see my profile) for local runs - we did a few last year round Surrey/Sussex area.

In the summer, there are loads of people who meet at Harleys/Fox's diner on Monday evening between Reading and Oxford. Usually get about 50-100 bikes.

Maybe we should get together and go up.

I went to that diner a few times last year and there was always a Police presence. That road is of course infamous with speeders and on the occassions I visited the diner, the Police were just there to make their presence known which worked I feel as nobody took the mick. The Police also walked around talking to the bikers and did not issue any tickets for aftermarket exhausts, small number plates, etc....

However, this is slightly different to the policing enforced at the Lord Derby.

I would be up for a run (as will the wife on her bike) sometime if somebody wants to arrange one. Just make it after June as I will have been to the California Superbike School by then and should have a better idea on how to control these things!

You'll have a great time at the California Superbike School Scott.... we got loads out of it & both of us have been riding more years than I would care to admit to!!

We're doing level 3 in May & it's worth every penny

S2rr Kitty,

I'm really looking forward to the course. I was due to attend the Rockingham course held in May, but unfortunately I've had to re-arrange this until June. This will only be Level 1, but I'm sure I will be going back soon afterwards for Level 2!

I'm sure you will - we did our Level 1 & felt so good we booked level 2 for the following week!! - then we were skint so it's back again this year!!

We've not been to Silverstone though so that will be a new experience
