good first bike for a little person?
Discussion
Hiya
Got my CBT yesterday and now need to start looking at buying a bike - for the time being I just want something to play around with and practice on while I get my skills and confidence up (and of course it can only be a 125). Only problem is, I'm only 1.6m (5'4) and have a small hand span. The bikes that I learned on (Suzuki GN125 and a Yamaha 125 something) were an okay height but I still found it difficult to work the clutch and reach the indicator switch with my thumb without moving my hand.
Can anyone recommend a suitable bike?

What about one of those cruiser type ones? I think Yamaha do one. That might be ok on the height front.

I carried on and did Direct Access 5 years ago and then bought a kawasaki GPZ 500s for starters and I'm only 5ft 2in. I then moved on to my Honda Hornet 600FS and decided to have my boots built up about 1/2 inch each which really makes a difference and built up my confidence. Still have to be aware of stopping on bad camber but managed to go round Europe each year for last 2 years covering almost 6000 miles so don't give up just yet. bigger bikes are easier to ride too!
