Benefits of Trail Riding
Discussion
Hi everyone,
What benefits have you noticed dirt biking brings to your road riding?
I'm just back from a wicked holiday with www.redtread.com in Spain. As usual, Redtread were absolutely top notch and I highly recommend 'em for a hol.
On returning, I noticed I had better balance (probably because my trail riding is so slow I have to balance well to avoid falling over!), more confidence in bike handling and now feel more 'at one' with my road bike (probably because it feels rock steady compared to a trailie).
All much needed improvements! I will never be a Paris-Dakar rider, to put it mildly ...
I thought I'd come back with better throttle control too, but have ony noticed only a marginal improvement. To my surprise, I got more out of my off-road hol than the California Superbike School, great though that was.
What have other people found?
