Brakes squeeking more...

than a mouse in a sqeeking contest in sqeeksvile.

I have just put new pads on the front of the CBR600FX. And whenever i put a bit of pressure on the breaks they sqeek like hell. Any ideas why and does anyone know how to stop them?

It always used to be Copaslip on the back of the pads in my day

If they don't quieten down after bedding in, give it a try.

ditto with the Copaslip, does your brake setup include anti-squeal shims ?

yes, there were some nice shiny shims on there and i sprayed some coppergreese on the vack (only a light layer though)
can i get CG from Halfords?

and having said that, I changed both sets of fronts today, and I think I've put one of the shims in back to front
