Bikesafe - how picky are the cops?!
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Got a bikesafe course on Sunday and just wondering how picky the Police are on these days? I'm talking about the following:
a)Speeding - nothing excessive, and stick to restricted limits
b)Race cans - mine is VERY loud and spits the odd flame
c)Tinted visors - I carry a clear one too
My speedo has packed up but I should have that fixed by Sunday. Hopefully i'll have brakes by then too!
Cheers
Dave

Dave..
The loud can would only be a real problem if is dangerous ( which it wont be )
The visor issue isnt too bad, i use one daily into my local training centre ( where plod bikers are taught )
And you need to demonstrate good bend reading, which means limits are kept to, but nationals mean banzai ( if suitable)
Hi Guys,
Was a useful course. I couldn't do the practical bit as my bike broke down on Saturday - water got into the instrument panel and I lost all the indicators and instruments! Main ignition fuse also blew. I got it home (new fuse) but didn't feel it was a good idea to go to a Police event with no speedo, rev gauge, indicators, and a loud can! We are doing the practical assessment mid-May once the bike is all up together.
