In February, I was knocked off my Honda VTR1000 in London by a van.
Here's the replacement, bought last week when the insurance cash finally arrived... A '98 (SRAD) GSXR750.
And here with the SV1000S I've had as a loan bike for the last six weeks.
A lot of bike for the money. Worlds apart from a litre twin, and far more comfortable than the SV1k (especially with those vibes, and a bollock-bashing tank).
Lovely clean condition, one owner, it runs beautifully. Fast, too.
Everything I've read about these bikes is that they're torture implements. Uncomfortable. Too focussed to be of day-to-day use.
So far, neither of those things are true, IMHO. It's very comfortable on all kinds of road, even a trafficky 100 mile ride from Solihull to my place this evening, mostly on the M1/M6.
I'm really chuffed with it. Let's see how it gets on with a London commute tomorrow...
