It's that time of year again...anybody have any recommendations for this year's best budget provider (there's always one who stands out from the crowd every year). Save me swearing at websites and spending hours on hold to disinterested call centre operatives!

(Probably shouldn't moan, fully comp renewal with MCE is only £333, but I'm tight fisted as well as lazy...).

MCE were expensive for me (£1200 TPFT on the ZX7R). I'm with Bikesure - still £680 but then it's a group 16 bike and i'm 23 with less than a years license.

I'll give them a go. I have held a full licence for, ahem, quite some time (20 years!), have full no claims bonus and a clean licence. I'll still be surprised if anybody can beat £333 fully comp...

Have just went with www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk (com??). Managed a fantastic quote for the new bike, beat everyone else by hundreds.

Only downside is that even though they give you 365 days EU cover they do not cover Croatia so I'll have to find some other way to get cover for that or take the car instead.

aha.. was just about to ask about them... the quote for me was £80 cheaper than anywhere else.. but their site was hella dodgy.
Is there a hidden catch as to why they are so cheap?

Well I just tried them and they came in £60 more expensive. Looks like I'll be sticking with the same people...for the third year in a row.

Website seemed ok when I used it. I think they are fairly new to the UK market so I'll see how they go come renewal time next year.

For now though they are the cheapest by a long way and the documents came through next day and everything looks in order, they seem to be registered in the right places so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now

Over the last 3 years I've found Carole Nash to be good value.

When I switched to them they saved me about £200 and the policy was with the same ins co as before.

This years renewal is £273, fully comp, Ducati 916 and includes breakdown etc.

I will look around some of the others but I doubt they'll beat it.

You spawny sod! £150?! I spend that a month on petrol.

It's a shame you listed the Ins. company - I was going to make a sarcastic SAGA joke
