I was thinking of going for three days and two nights and wondered what accomodation and spectator location advice anyone might have.

I know the dates and the following web site www.iomtt.com/ has lots of great information. I wondered is it better (easier at such short notice!) to watch the practice sessions or racing? If so where to aim for?

Thanks in advance - and yes if I get a chance I will be taking the blade for a spank around the course (should take me a few hours).

You are best off visiting practice week at this late stage, unless you are extremely lucky to find a cancellation (B&B/hotel).

Camping is easier to come by, but you really need to be in or near Douglas for the evening's entertainment (loads on every night throughout the fortnight, whatever your taste).

There is a resonable compsite near the 6-mile marker which is never full, and has a bus stop to take you back to Douglas, and a local pub for dinner.

As far as spectating is concerned, most areas around the circuit offer some amazing viewing - nothing like any other race track. Suggestions include:-

Kirk Michael
Creg Ny Baa
Bray Hill
Farm wall at 7-Mile marker
Ballaugh Bridge
Hawthorns Rise
Quarterbridge

the list goes on...!!!

Good Luck and ENJOY!!
